Our Story

Mental Health and our Society

My name is Neriman Sagar. My dear sister of the soul, Jyoti Singh has  suffered through epilepsy for a few decades. Many times we had thought that she would die. People cannot fathom the toll it takes on the families living with someone who has epilepsy, schizophrenia, depression, bipolar, suicidal tendencies and the list goes on.

Our vision

Trial and error

Luckily after visiting many different doctors, with much trial and error, Jyoti found a wonderful neurologist at John Hopkins Hospital. She was able to medically provide her with  the best medical care, and relief from multiple recurring Grand Mal seizures per week. Now that my sister is on the path of healing, we decided that emerging artist and, adolescents need a voice. What better way to show their souls through creative art ? This is how Blink Art came into existence. It has become our dream and life’s passion to help these beautiful souls to be seen, heard, appreciated and acknowledged.

There are many factors that contribute to good mental health. These include having a positive outlook on life, a strong support system, and coping mechanisms. Taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our emotional, and physical health. When our mental health is not in a good place, it can leads to many life long issues.

With your love and support, we hope to make this world a better place. Through art for misunderstood people who may have epilepsy, schizophrenia, depression disorder, suicidal tendencies to be understood. To see what they are feeling, to see their dilemma and suffering expressed through their passion in any art form.
